"I was very disappointed with my experience here. I came in with a specific request: approx. 3–3.5 inches left on top, blended into a low fade, with enough length to wear my hair pushed back in a natural, textured style. Before we had fully discussed the haircut and agreed on a plan, the barber began removing significantly more length than I requested. Once I realized what was happening, it was to that point too much hair had already been removed, and the haircut had to be adjusted around the shorter length. The final result was substantially shorter and more structured than what I asked for. The beard work and cleanup were fine, and the barber was professional and courteous throughout. My issue is not with the attitude or customer service, it is with the lack of consultation and attention to what I requested. I was most frustrated by the feeling speed was prioritized over understanding what I wanted. The haircut felt rushed from the beginning and there seemed to be an assumption the barber already knew what would look best rather than taking the time to listen to the customer. It seems the shop itself is very comfortable executing a particular set of short men’s haircuts. If that is what you’re looking for, you may have a good experience. However, if you want a longer style, a more customized cut, or expect a detailed consultation before significant length is removed, I would recommend going somewhere else. Hair grows back, and this is ultimately a temporary problem, but that doesn't address the frustration that the haircut I received was not the haircut I asked for."

"I was very disappointed with my haircut done at this Barber Shop NYC on West 50th Street on April 29th. I simply asked the barber for a haircut. He only asked me if I wanted it medium or short, I said medium. He then went on to take most of my hair off and left it with no shape because all the hair was virtually at the same level. It had a shape when I went into the barbershop. I would call it a haircut equal to what I might have gotten from a barber in a barber training school, but it cost me $40. After looking at the finished haircut, I did not leave a tip."
